Synchronization of learning management systems with store-and-forward communication using ship to support e-Learning at rural islands. Alwin Melkie Sambul, Agustinus Jacobus, Alan Riyaldi
Universitas Sam Ratulangi
Abstract
One of the challenges for the people who live in the rural islands of the developing countries is the lack of access to education. Although ICT (Information and Communication Technology) is increasingly regarded as an essential tool to support learning activities in rural areas, the availability of telecommunication infrastructure in such areas is still problematic, primarily because of high implementation cost and low revenue. This study aimed to develop an e-Learning model for the community in the rural islands which utilize ship to deliver to and receive data from the island using store-and-forward communication technique over a transient long-range wireless link established when the ship is at a certain distance from the island. Here we focused on the design of a synchronization method between databases of multiple learning management systems (LMS) between the ship and the island. The design has been implemented and tested using Moodle installed on low-power Raspberry Pi computers. The result showed that our design is suitable to be used in such requirements, hence making it a feasible solution to support ICT-based learning for the people in rural islands.

Abstract
Speed, cost, and quality have been the central issues in the translation industry. While computers can offer fast and economical translation, their ability to produce accurate translation at a publishable level like human translators may do is still questionable. In the present study, we evaluate the accuracy of English to Indonesian translation generated by Google Translate. Freely accessible English texts of various types were chosen to heuristically exemplify the units of analysis. Our findings lead to a conclusion that while Google Neural Machine Translation system is quite an improvement to the conventional phrase-based translation system, highly accurate translation does not seem to be achieved by Google Translate in the near future.

Abstract
Students find physics difficult, because they have to contend with different representations such as experiments, formulas and calculations, graphs, and conceptual explanation at the same time (angell, Guttersrud, Henriksen, and Isnes : 2004). As far as we know that physics experiments wich conducted in well-equipped laboratories, improve students science process skills (Hirca:2012). It is hard to imagine learning to do science, or learning about science, without doing laboratory or fieldwork (Trumper:2003). But many schools in various part of the world have very poor or no laboratories, so the teachers have to use their own equipment and replace the students experimental work with simple demonstration experiments (Ozvoldova, Spilakova, Tkac). The purpose of this study was to create physics learning media for archimedes law using simulation to cover the lack of the availability of laboratories and physics paracticum tools. CSUQ is used to test usability of the simulation.

CAMPUS NETWORK THROUGHPUT IMPROVEMENT THROUGH METRIC MODIFICATION OF OSPF ROUTING MECHANISM LIPUR SUGIYANTA
UNIVERSITAS NEGERI JAKARTA
Jln. Rawamangun Muka Raya, Jakarta Timur, 13220
Abstract
OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) is routing protocol that are widely used in computer networks. Selection of routing protocols is very important in improving network performance. Calculation of OSPF metrics will determine the performance of data packet delivery. It based on Shortest Path Tree. To find the best route from source to destination, it must determine the shortest path between itself and each router in the network. The router creates this perspective by taking the information in the LSDB and transforming it into a shortest path first tree or SPF tree. It is an algorithmic calculation to construct logical network view performed by the computer within the router. To speed the construction of network tree, PDU size variable is proposed to increase the speed of data packet communication among routers. This research was using Cisco Packet Tracer 5.3 software, simulations were made on a campus network whose PDU variables were modified to obtain the optimum network tree with OSPF routing protocol. The weighted testing parameters in this study is time delay values. Hopefully, the value of redistribution delay is 1% better depending on traffic density. Main route retrieval and alternative package delivery are based on the smallest cost and metric values in the OSPF protocol.

Abstract
Medical record (MedRec) of the patient is derived from several healthcare providers i.e. hospital, the national provider, and laboratories which contains personally identifiable information test yet referred to therapeutic procedures and medications of the patient. MedRec has been compiled and maintained by several providers thus resulting in separated and disseminated the data among the parties. Mostly, the MedRecs are stored in providers database and the patients have no control to manage and access their data. Hence, in this paper, we propose a conceptual model for managing the data of medical record using blockchain technology in the peer-to-peer network with several protocols are embedded in the system. The proposed model aims to facilitate the patients in order to manage their data from various providers into a single view. Blockchain offers the promise of an immutable, single source of truth from multiple sources and facilitates a trust as well as validates an identity without the third-party involvement.

Abstract
This research evaluates public street lighting with case studies on Jalan Dr. Setiabudhi Bandung, 4,980 kilometers (km) from the start of the Lembang direction to the Cihampelas direction. Tests have been carried out by measuring illuminance values (lux) on 114 light points on the road. Most lights are assumed to use typical SOX with 135 watts of power, voltage range of 220-240 volts (v), frequency of 50-60 hertz (Hz). Measurements and calculations was done with result the height from the base of the pole to the lamp varies from 7.04 meters (m) to 10.51 m with an average of 9.8 m. Observations and measurements along the road also recorded as many as 29 lights were off, 15 lights were slightly covered by trees, and 23 lights that were not blocked directly illuminated the road. There are a total of 51 of 114 lighting poles whose luminance values are below the Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI). The total 63 points of the luminaires that meet SNI, as many as 50 points of luminance value are greater than 15 lux. The shortest distance between light poles is 22.8 m, the longest is 273 m with a mean of 40.9 m. Evaluation shows both in terms of illuminance, distance between poles and power and the type of lamp used still has the opportunity to be redesigned to be more efficient. Redesign is done using dialux evo more efficiently. Opportunity optimization by implementing the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm was proposed in this research.

Long-term Load Forecasting is very important in the electricity industry in each country. With the demand for loads in the future, make the industry or electricity provider company produce, transmit and distribute power accurately and economically. In recent years, conventional methods and mathematical methods have been developed for energy forecasting. However, Fuzzy Logic techniques provide efficiency that is more smooth and effective than conventional methods. The Fuzzy Logic model is used based on historical data parameters including the population, gross domestic product, and average electricity prices to forecast electrical energy in the next few years. The results obtained reveal that the proposed model is able to predict future electrical loads.

Abstract
A monitoring technology for large area with low-cost
and high efficiency is highly demanded. Wireless Sensor Network
(WSN) is the solution for a monitoring technology. However, not
all monitoring must be continuous, there are some monitoring that
can be carried out periodically. Therefore it is possible to invent a
mobile sensor communication system on multicell networks. This
research aims to implement a WSN system by collecting data from
mobile sensors on multicell networks. The focus of research is on
the design of mobile sensor communication with low-cost device as
transceivers, namely NodeMCU. The design is implemented using
4 NodeMCU units, 3 of them are functioned as access points,
while 1 unit is employed as a client connected to the sensor. The
experimentation was conducted by varying transmission distances
of sensors with and without barriers. Moreover, handover and
blankspot areas are also included accordingly. The result of
experimentation shows that the usage of low-cost devices has still
possibility to built monitoring mechanism on multicell networks
eventhough the transmission power was significantly influenced
by the availability of barriers.

Abstract
Long-term forecasting of electricity energy consumption has become one of the main fields in the electricity sector in each country. This study aims to compare the accuracy of the results of the method used in this study with research conducted by the government to estimate electricity consumption in Indonesia. Many methods can be used to estimate electrical energy consumption such as conventional methods (exponential smoothing, ARIMA, regression), fuzzy logic and artificial neural network algorithms. The method used in this study is the Back-Propagation Neural Network (BP-ANN) algorithm. The results of this research are data on estimates of electricity consumption in Indonesia for 2019-2023. This research is expected to prove the accuracy of the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) method to estimate electricity consumption in Indonesia.

STUDY OF ELECTRIC POWER SYSTEM OSCILLATION DAMPING 1Daryanto, 2M. Rifan, 3Purwanto Gendroyono
Electrical Engineering Education Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Jakarta State University, Jakarta, Indonesia
Abstract
Delivery of electrical power from the power plant to the load center of widespread done through transmission networks with limited capacity. The operation of such an electric power system can cause a stable condition to be disturbed and a worse result is a total blackout. This study aims to investigate the influence of dynamic loads on the electric power system oscillation damping. The behavior of the electric power system after disruption studied to determine the effect of parameter changes the dynamic load of the electric power system oscillation damping. The electric power system model in this study is a dynamic load model and synchronous generator model. Dynamic load models are developed from the Hill model based on load power responses due to voltage changes. The mathematical formula that describes the interaction between voltage and load power is realized by first-order differential equations. While the electric power system model is based on a model developed by Demello, which is a single electric generator connected to an infinite bus. The synchronous machine in this model is obtained from the classical Park model by assuming that (1) the condition is balanced, (2) the stator coil resistance is ignored, (3) the influence of saturation is ignored, (4) the transmission network is assumed to be zero, and (5) the local load is assumed the voltage depends only on the real power. Based on the two models, an overall block diagram is made that illustrates the interaction between dynamic loads and the electric power system. The results showed that there was an increase in the stability of the electric power system with dynamic load feedback and a decrease in the rotor angle and increase in voltage. So that it can be concluded that changes in dynamic load parameters affect the stability of the electric power system.
